Community

As the village parish church St Mary’s seeks to meet the needs of those from a wide range of church or non-church backgrounds. Our pattern of worship reflects this diversity with a range of services: traditional Holy Communion using the Book of Common Prayer; modern language communion services; all-age family services; more informal worship; systematic biblical preaching, quiet contemplative prayer evenings and services led by the young people.

Prayer is a key part of our ministry to each other; the wider local community and beyond.

St Mary's offers of course the traditional occasional services for baptisms, marriages and funerals and enquiries about these should be made to the parish office.

We have an active ministry to children and young people catering for children aged 3 to 11 in our Children's Church and from 12 upwards in our youth cell groups
