Mission

Mission is our work in the world. Jesus gives His followers specific directions to follow after they have affirmed their faith. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit." Jesus calls all His followers to act and share the Good News of salvation throughout the world. This Great Commission then is the beginning of faith in action for all Christians - read on to discover how St Mary's and its members are active in mission both in Haddenham and further afield.

Cafeplus+

Caféplus+ is a breakfast Café, open once a month on a first Sunday morning from 9:30am to 12:30pm in Haddenham Village Hall. The main aim is to help to bring the church into the community and at the same time help the community to discover church. Read more about the Cafeplus+ vision

Outlook

Outlook is a mission team from St Mary's Church which plans and presents mission activities aimed at sharing the gospel in word and action with the over 55's. Although the team is from St. Mary's it has always been a firm principle to work with the other churches in the village to make the events open to members of the other churches in Haddenham and to the wider community. Current activities include Senior Alpha courses, and a summer 'Holiday at Home' for those not going away. The Outlook project is affiliated to the national Outlook Trust

Lighthouse

We are a partner Church in this holiday week held in Thame each summer which attracted 750 children and over 320 adult volunteer helpers in 2009 (our second year). Lighthouse provides an opportunity for children and young people to participate in sports, craft and music and through songs, fun activities and talks to learn more about God and understand what difference Christian values can make to all our lives.
