A group from St Mary's Church joined members of Transition Thame and District and more than 50,000 other people who came together to demand action on climate change on Saturday December 5th at 'The Wave', the biggest ever UK climate change march. 'The Wave' called for the Government to take much more urgent and effective action.  People from all over the country dressed in blue encircled Parliament, calling on the UK government to settle for nothing less than a climate deal in Copenhagen that avoids dangerous climate change and protects the world’s poorest who are already feeling its effects.  As a Christian church, the politics of climate change is something with which St Mary's believes it should be involved because it concerns our stewardship of the earth and justice for the poor.
