Aim:

To introduce the epistles and how they not only explore teaching on big theological themes, but also provide insights into development of the early church. The influence of Paul. Much practical guidance for how we live our lives as Christians today.

Tasks for individuals and groups:

Imagine you were part of the early church. What would you like from your church? What should it be like? What teaching should there be? What questions do you have? What stops you from going your own way? How do you worship? What is the persecution of the church like?

Take these same questions and see if the answers are different for the church today. Which aspects are better or worse today.
